Appointed Persons

An Appointed Person is someone with basic first aid training to take charge in an emergency if an injury or illness should occur. Fully qualified first aiders in larger organisations may also benefit from additional support from Appointed Persons. This is particularly relevant in large buildings with many floors or where work is operated in shifts.

The course duration is 4 hours and a certificate lasting three years will be awarded on successful completion of the course.
